Description

As part of professional identity and development, students are required to write and present philosophy statements. This presentation will describe the role of consistency in students’ professional development as manifested through their teaching, leadership and advocacy, counseling, and supervision statements. It will highlight how the similarities and shared common beliefs of the four philosophy statements can define one’s professional identity and enhance future career development. This presentation will also give audiences the chance to hear from two doctoral students who define their professional identity based on common principles that their philosophy statements share.
