Description

When individuals have a better idea of their personality type, they gain insight into how they interact with the world. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) has been frequently used to help individuals understand their personality preferences. This research project takes a closer look at the counselor-trainee alliance and how the MBTI can be used as a tool to strengthen this relationship. The MBTI assessment will provide the counselor and trainee with an understanding of how one another view the world. With this increased understanding, the expectation is that the supervision alliance will deepen with the implementation of this intervention.
