Description

Counselor education training programs provide the foundation for personal and professional preparation needed by future counselors. Counseling ethics competency is a skill crucial to professional development in the profession. Although research continues to assess the impact of learning activities and growth in counseling students, one area of evaluation for which there may be a gap is in counseling ethics education. This interpretive case study was intended to explore, understand, describe, and interpret how the first year master’s level counseling students learn, understand, experience, and apply counseling ethics education to their evolving professional identity and work in the program.
