Description

Senior year in high school is fraught with challenges for administrators, teachers, and school counselors. Senioritis is defined by Merriam-Webster as an ebbing of motivation and effort by school seniors as evidenced by tardiness, absences, and lower grades. When does senioritis become something more that leads students down the rabbit hole into a world of self-defeating behaviors? This presentation will discuss what is happening to high school students their senior year and how we, as educators, can help them transition from high school to college or the world of work.
