Description

This presentation will describe a study and a humanities grant application. The study will investigate how gender, ethnicity, and generation may influence the view of the self. The findings will provide a foundation for the understanding the self from differing life experiences and worldviews. The view of self will be evoked by a children’s book, The Mirror Story. This is a story about five children in which four have their own mirror (reflecting their life story) and one searching for his own mirror. The grant will enable development of illustrations for the book which is the research tool for the study.
