Pediatric depression is an increasing problem facing healthcare providers today and knowing how to appropriately screen and treat a patient for pediatric depression is something new clinicians need to feel comfortable with. The following is a guide to be used by any healthcare professional, but particularly pharmacy students, in assisting in the treatment and management of this condition. This is based on current treatment guidelines and observations in pediatric clinical practice.
