For almost six years now, I’ve been writing my way into a novel. This novel is written from the points of view of six different characters. In order to pull this off without giving my potential readers too much mental whiplash, I needed to differentiate my characters' voices and separate the concrete details of their pasts. To do this, I decided to write a series of short stories, each from a different character's point of view, that revolve around pivotal moment in their pasts, moments that will converge in a way that becomes critical to creating the architecture of the novel.
