During the course of the summer lakes were visited on 26 occasions. Because of difficulties in obtaining reagents for chemical analyses the planned work on the kinetics of nutrient uptake, a basis for evaluating Swan Lake as a chemostat, went for the most part undone. However, three experiments were performed as best possible, and the samples and data are being processed. Project Number 165.
