The Petroleum Engineering Senior Design course is a one semester “capstone” course for the undergraduate petroleum engineering curriculum. This is an application course where the students’ goal is to apply all that they have learned in their previous petroleum engineering classes to solve a real world, industry level problem. They must also do this in a team environment and present the results of their project in written and oral reports. In addition, economic, environmental, health, and safety constraints must be addressed. This course requires the students to design and perform a petroleum related project with the objective of developing some aspect of a petroleum reservoirs using principles and skills obtained in the Petroleum Engineering program. This will include the project management skills needed to design, implement and perform the project and the application of software for design and analysis of the drilling, reservoir and production aspects of petroleum fields. This collection contains the final, written reports of the teams which have completed this course.
