Preliminary studies were made during two short stays at the Station. Plots were laid out in the sagebrush zones preliminary to a long-term study of competition between sagebrush and grass, particulary in the seedling stage. Examinations was made of the islands in jackson Lake which proved to be excellent contrast areas with the mainland because of reduced game and livestock populations. Project Number 64.
